On the morning of July 2nd, 2023, the first cycling and touring event was held in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, with about 3,000 participants aged from 8 to 70 from Guangdong, Fujian, Guizhou, and other provinces and regions.

The event, which emphasizes public participation, was the first of its kind nationally hosted by the government and in Zhuhai.
The cycling tour was road-closed at full length throughout the central area of Guangzhou, during which cyclists started from the local landmark Canton Tower, rode along the Pearl River, and finally returned to the foot of the Guangzhou Tower. The entire journey passed through the Exhibition Park, Canton Fair Complex, Poly International Plaza, Shuiboyuan (Water Museum Garden), Poly Tianmu Square, and Canton Fair.

The event attracted a diverse group of cycling enthusiasts from various provinces and regions, ranging from families participating in parent-child riding to groups of friends cycling together, as well as professional cycling teams equipped with full equipment. The enthusiastic atmosphere at the event even inspired many local citizens to join the fun and rent shared bicycles as their "mounts" for the day.

"The touring event brought me an unprecedented experience, which allowed me to make new cycling friends and share cycling stories. This weekend was really exciting!" said Shen, a student from Jinan University and a cycling enthusiast. Throughout the tour, he provided support and encouragement to his new companions, and upon successfully conquering the journey, he solidified his bond with them.
The event also specially set up a promotion area for culture and tourism, catching the attention of cyclists and spectators with related resources from different provinces and regions.

The 12.4-kilometer cycling route traversed through the picturesque scenery along the Pearl River in the Haizhu District, with cycling enthusiasts eagerly capturing snapshots at popular landmarks such as the tram stations, Liede Bridge, Pearl River Pati Beer Culture and Creative Art District Zone, and Canton Fair Complex, and fully experiencing the allure of Guangzhou city.

7月2日上午，2023廣州·海珠首屆中國自行車運動騎游大會在廣州塔拉開帷幕。
據了解，這場重在全民參與的群眾性自行車運動首次在海珠區舉辦，也是國內首次由政府主辦的騎游活動，吸引了來自廣東、福建、貴州“三省八地”約3000名騎手參與，其中年齡最大的70歲，最小的8歲。
本次騎游大會在廣州城市中央進行全程道路封閉的騎游活動，參賽騎手從廣州地標小蠻腰出發，沿珠江沿岸騎行，途經會展公園、廣交會展館、保利國際廣場、水博苑、保利天幕廣場、廣交會，最后返回到廣州塔下完成挑戰。
現場聚集了許多來自三省八地的騎行愛好者，有一家人齊心參與的親子騎行選手，也有“抱團”參加的騎友，還有裝備齊全的專業騎行團隊。不少市民在熱烈騎行氛圍的帶動下，也紛紛將“共享單車”作為自己的參賽“坐騎”，一同享受公路騎行的樂趣。
“騎游活動讓我有前所未有的體驗，也結交到了新騎友、分享騎行的故事，這個周末太有‘勁’了！”來自暨南大學的沈同學是一名騎行愛好者，他在賽程中與新認識的騎友相互扶持、相互鼓勵，完成終點挑戰后進一步增進了友誼。
活動現場專門增設了文旅宣推展位，三省八地的文旅資源吸引著騎行者和觀眾的目光。
